Alan Ox Lives!
TO FANS AND FRIENDS OF AL OX—
Welcome to this new website honoring our dear friend Alan Oxenhandler (Ox). As you probably know by now, Al passed away on September 29, 2021. Ox was a multi-talented pianist, singer, drummer, composer, comedian, inventor and playwright. We all loved him dearly and we miss him, his music and his wonderful spirit and love of life.
He lives on, in our hearts.
Friends of Ox have produced a great memorial video containing unseen, historic footage of Ox performing his music that spans his entire musical career. The video was compiled by award-winning photo-journalist and videographer, Joe Sohm, and features narration by Clint Eastwood and music by Grammy-winning songwriters Roger Kellaway, Marilyn and Alan Bergman.
The music video premiere included a Zoom chat session where Ox’s family, fans and friends shared amazing memories.
In honor of Ox’s lifetime of music, we’d like to tell you a little bit about an organization that embodies his spirit and passion for the healing power of music. Musicians On Call is a nonprofit that specializes in bringing live performances directly to patients’ bedsides in hospitals and senior living facilities nationwide.
